Even though this post centers around a holiday from last month, I feel like it really embodies the idea of thanksgiving for me. Being able to start traditions with my daughter and seeing how she approaches them from year to year always inspires thankfulness for me. Thankful that my daughter is another year bigger and stronger. Excited to see her new ideas and how proud she is of herself as she's able to do things all by herself. So many of my childhood memories begin with "remember how we always used to...." and I'm so happy to start creating those "remember how we's" for her. Watching her paint her special pumpkin was a great way to start these months of family and thankfulness. I shot this on Fuji Superia 400 which you can pick up at any Walmart or drugstore which goes to show you that you don't need fancy film to get beautiful images. I shared a digital picture from this evening on Facebook back in October but the film shots are always a little bit more special to me. All black and white images were converted by me.
